Dr. Karine Barry Description

It’s at the age of five that she started being interested in a career in veterinary medicine. In her small village of Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir, she was always rescuing stray kittens to the dismay of her parents but the delight of her five brothers and sisters! Dr. Barry started her studies in veterinary medicine and graduated first of her group, and won several awards and scholarships. She started a career in the Valleyfield area where she lived for several years having fallen in love with this beautiful region and her friendly clients.

This beautiful love affair with the people and animals of the Suroît and Soulanges area continues today at the Hôpital vétérinaire de Les Coteaux, where she has been practicing for over 18 years. She is particularly interested in practicing feline behavioural medicine and corrective surgeries. Her contagious laugh and great smile prove without a doubt how she loves her work, which she considers as being the best in the world. Dr. Barry now shares her love between her two daughters, her spouse, and three Cornish Rex cats!
