Many people prohibit the use of a crate for their puppy because they feel that it is a place of confinement or punishment for their companion. Not only is the crate an important tool for housetraining your puppy, it is also an essential element for protecting him when you are away or at night.
A puppy left alone no longer has any supervision from outside and may therefore expend its excess energy exploring its environment, which may result in destruction, ingestion of various objects or elimination in the house.
I am well aware of the consequences that can result from a puppy being left alone. Recently I had to go into surgery to remove a hundred stones from the stomach of Balto, a beautiful 7-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog and had to hospitalize Tommy, a very sweet 8-month-old German Shepherd who had swallowed engine oil after being left alone in the garage.
So, if we use the cage from a young age as a security and prevention tool, the puppy will acquire good habits that will later allow him to stay free in the house without any problem. Do not hesitate to contact our team who will be able to guide you in the proper use of the cage for the education of your puppy and for its safety!
